Mrs. Bellefleur received her undergraduate and graduate training at American International College, where she was the President of the Alpha Chi Honor Society. She has earned two advanced post Master’s certificates in Applied Behavior Analysis and Autism from the University of Saint Joseph, and now serves as an adjunct professor teaching graduate level courses, Managing Behaviors and the Application of Instructional Strategies.  Mrs. Bellefleur is a Board Certified Behavioral Analyst.  Her work has been selected as exemplary and she has presented her research findings to colleagues at both the state and national level.

Professionally, Mrs.Bellefleur has taught for high school and junior high school students for more than 25 years in public and private school settings in MA and CT.  Most recently, Mrs. Bellefleur taught in a laboratory classroom at the University of Saint Joseph located at the Gengras Center. In her role there, Mrs. Bellefleur provided the direct supervision of teaching assistants, chaired the school-wide curriculum committees, mentored new teachers and trained college interns while serving as a case manager. She holds dual State of Connecticut teaching certificates.

She has a strong, sustained commitment to STMS as a past parent, School Board member, chair, long-term substitute teacher and coach.  “Academic excellence through the light of faith” is more than a motto to her; it is an inherent reminder of the values we hope to instill in the next generation.

Her daughter Noelle (STMS grad ’04, NWC grad 2008) and husband, Al have coached the STMS cross country team.
